Prieto Battery has developed a new type of 3D solid-state battery structure, the capable will increase five times or more than the existing lithium-ion battery. Prieto Battery completely redesigned based on 2D structure of a conventional lithium-ion batteries, the new battery structure applicable to existing manufacturing processes. The company said the existing battery charging takes a long time. New battery without using a liquid electrolyte, a cathode and an anode coupled together, which helps to increase the density of a lithium ion, shorten the charging time. The company is also working with Intel to develop wearable devices for computing devices and batteries, it is expected to debut in 2017.
